About Jessi

Jessi is an 18-year-old woman living somewhere in Southern California (and currently Germany). She first discovered Sailormoon through the atrocious American dub when she was about 9 years old, and she has been a fan of the metaseries ever since. Her favorite canon is the manga, with the anime coming in second. Her favorite soldiers are Sailorpluto and Sailormercury. Other favorite anime/manga series include Rozen Maiden, Ghost in the Shell, and Bleach.  Other interests include Silent Hill, death, puppies, shoes, etc.

Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon, the brainchild of manga artist Naoko Takeuchi, is a media franchise about a team of 10 (5 in one continuity) teenage heroines with magical abilities--the Sailor Senshi. Currently, there are four versions of Sailormoon: an 18-volume manga, an anime series, a live action series, and a stage show (Sera Myu). It is one of Japan's most famous exports, and the manga and anime have collectively been translated into over 20 languages.
